Our Story

Après Handcrafted Libations is a craft tasting room that brings the best in craft libations to Summit County. As a family owned and operated establishment we pride ourselves on emphasizing local and supporting other small businesses. Our award-winning handcrafted cocktails are made from scratch using the finest craft spirits, house-made syrups, hand squeezed (…mostly) juices and of course our very own Après Handcrafted Bitters. Our craft whiskey and small-batch whiskey selection is extensive, come see for yourself and don’t hesitate to ask our talented Après Family to tell you all about it! The Summit Daily says we have one of the hottest tap lists in town so if you are looking for a craft beer in Breckenridge come check out our 28 rotating beers or our 40+ rotating craft bottled/canned beers. Not a drinker? We have handcrafted libations for you as well! We carry various Colorado craft sodas, we always have fresh non-alcoholic craft ginger beer on tap, plus we make an array of soda flavors using our Après Handcrafted Bitters!

We carry small snacks but we are unique to Breckenridge in that we allow you to order food from any of your favorite Breckenridge locations just like you would in your own home. Don’t want to wait for delivery? Feel free to bring food from home or any restaurant to enjoy with your favorite craft beverage in a relaxed, inviting, and family friendly (before 9pm) atmosphere. We have snacks, games, music and of course an ever-changing variety of craft libations! We are located in the historic Whitehead House Hotel & Boardinghouse. Built around 1892 by Harry and Jennie Whitehead as the Arcade Hotel, which didn’t last long. In 1902 Jennie reopened the space as a boardinghouse and restaurant. Since then it has mainly remained a restaurant space, with the tradition continuing as Après Handcrafted Libations.

Join us all month long for our Giving Tap!  We will be donating 10% of the proceeds from one tap line every month to a different local Colorado non-profit organization.  In September, we're featuring the EVO3 Foundation and South Park Brewing!

The EVO3 Foundation focuses on addressing the deficiencies in tech education for kids in Summit County, Colorado.  During the 2017/2018 school year, they put more than 600 4th and 5th graders through their 5-week "Introduction to JavaScript App Development" class.  In partnership with EVO3 Workspace, a tech-focused coworking space in Frisco, the classes were provided at little to no cost to students.  Giving students the skills to address the "technology talent gap" which is paramount in competing for some of the most sought-after careers of today and well into the future.  Educating parents with regards to the return on investment of coding schools is critical as skills-based training is needed to compete in the job market. The EVO3 Foundation also works with the Summit County Community and Senior Center.  Their volunteers work with members that find today's technology and devices challenging. If you'd like to get involved or make a tax-deductible donation, please visit for more information.

South Park Brewing was founded in 2014 in Faiplay, CO, 23 miles south of Breckenridge.  They opened with the idea to offer great craft beer and food to locals and tourists alike.  They like to focus on approachable, great tasting beers sticking mostly to classic styles.  We do push the envelope from time to time, but enjoy great beers like our Cherry Blonde.  For this beer, we brew a light bodied Blonde style ale and add 250 pounds of cherry to the secondary fermentation to ferment off most the fruit sugars.  What that leaves is a beautiful red ale with cherry flavor, slightly sweet, slightly tart. South Park Brewing taproom opened in September 2014 and was started by husband and wife, Paul Kemp and Megan Sebastian.  They moved to the South Park area in 2006, falling in love with the natural beauty of the area.  Since Paul began brewing beer nearly the same time, they both felt there was a need to have a brewery in Fairplay.  After many years of business plans, searching locations, and perfecting beer recipes, the perfect opportunity arose with a great location and large enough space to grow the brewery.  They are located in the Rocky Top Plaza at the only stop light in Fairplay and are pleased to be the largest brewery in Park County.
