Our Story

Après Handcrafted Libations is a craft tasting room that brings the best in craft libations to Summit County. As a family owned and operated establishment we pride ourselves on emphasizing local and supporting other small businesses. Our award-winning handcrafted cocktails are made from scratch using the finest craft spirits, house-made syrups, hand squeezed (…mostly) juices and of course our very own Après Handcrafted Bitters. Our craft whiskey and small-batch whiskey selection is extensive, come see for yourself and don’t hesitate to ask our talented Après Family to tell you all about it! The Summit Daily says we have one of the hottest tap lists in town so if you are looking for a craft beer in Breckenridge come check out our 28 rotating beers or our 40+ rotating craft bottled/canned beers. Not a drinker? We have handcrafted libations for you as well! We carry various Colorado craft sodas, we always have fresh non-alcoholic craft ginger beer on tap, plus we make an array of soda flavors using our Après Handcrafted Bitters!

We carry small snacks but we are unique to Breckenridge in that we allow you to order food from any of your favorite Breckenridge locations just like you would in your own home. Don’t want to wait for delivery? Feel free to bring food from home or any restaurant to enjoy with your favorite craft beverage in a relaxed, inviting, and family friendly (before 9pm) atmosphere. We have snacks, games, music and of course an ever-changing variety of craft libations! We are located in the historic Whitehead House Hotel & Boardinghouse. Built around 1892 by Harry and Jennie Whitehead as the Arcade Hotel, which didn’t last long. In 1902 Jennie reopened the space as a boardinghouse and restaurant. Since then it has mainly remained a restaurant space, with the tradition continuing as Après Handcrafted Libations.

JUNE GIVING TAP

What's better than beer? Beer for a cause! Join us all month long for our Giving Tap! We will be donating 10% of the proceeds from one tap line every month to a different local Colorado non-profit organization. In June, we're featuring Big Heart Big Hands and Vail Brewing Company.

Big Heart Big Hands raises money for mountain rescue organizations, supports the awareness and implementation of mountain safety education, and assists with funding for those who have been rescued and their families. The organization is in memory of Jarod Wetherell, who passed away while hiking the Maroon Bells peaks outside of Aspen in October of 2014. Big Heart Big Hands raises money for mountain rescue organizations, supports the awareness and implementation of mountain safety education, and assists with funding for those who have been rescued and their families. Through Big Heart Big Hands, Jessica Heaney LCSW provides counseling support to those impacted by mountain incidents. Trauma, grief, depression and persistent anxiety are all aspects that can impact an individual’s well-being. Big Heart Big Hands works to help individuals and families heal and get back to their love for the outdoors.

Vail Brewing Company: Veteran and Skibum owned, since 2014, Vail Brewing Company is becoming an integral part of the rugged and adventurous lifestyle mountain town communities neighboring Vail, Colorado. In a very short time, with its consistent variety of extraordinary, hand-crafted beers the brewery is making its mark on the craft brew culture. Known for brewing any style beer exceptionally well such as their award winning Tourist Trap Double IPA, Gore Creek IPA, and Pete’s Stash Pale Ale.  Even the seasonal release of small batch experimental beers are innovatively delicious keeping the transient and local communities coming back for more.
